Verona.

Keeping cool on a Roman bridge with gelato number.....

The climate in Hertford has taken a distinctly autumnal turn since I have been back. The air, though not cold, is crisp and breezy. The sky, a mix of bright, streaming sun and dark, threatening cloud. This weather has been much more welcome than I would have expected. Perhaps, I am just glad for a break from the intense heat of Italy. In the cities, especially, with few trees and low buildings, there was little relief from the afternoon glare.

It was on one of these sweltering afternoons that we visited Verona.

A famous balcony in Verona - can only belong to one person :)

The Arena opera house.

Waiting for the start of Aida.

Love.
