"Come in," she said, "I'll give you shelter from the storm."

Stole this from The Guardian.

Well, there's nothing like a good old fashioned strike. Especially if it involves a massive city march and rally. Public sector workers held a nationwide strike on Wednesday in response to threats of pension cuts and regulations for later retirement. As a teacher, my boyfriend had no choice (ha) but to take a day off to support his union. And since I had a day off I thought I'd tag along :)

Owen and his whistle.

Over 2 million public sector workers joined in the action across the UK. It was the biggest strike for over 30 years and we were lucky enough to be a part of the gigantic crowd in London.

View from the Jubilee Bridge - still filing in two hours after the start of the march.
For more info on the strike check out this article from the Guardian. They also have more photos of the crowds all over the United Kingdom (as well as of all of the sweet signs).
And now, because it was playing at the rally and, well, just because:
Love.
